1. I N T R O D U C T I O N

 

1. 1 Welcome

You just have bought the VISION software. Thanks for trusting us. VISION is a drawing and image processing and retouching software which works on all the range of ATARI computers: STf, MEGA ST, STe, MEGA STe, TT and FALCON with at least 1 MB of RAM, and in all the resolutions of these machines. VISION can be used for graphical creation as well as digital pictures processing and retouching, for black and white as well as True Colour. If you are not yet comfortable with the use of your ATARI computer, we recommend that you read its manual before using VISION.

 

1. 2 Content

The .ZIP file or the floppy contains the following files and folders:

VISION.PRG VISION program
VISION.INI Configuration file (Text format)
VISION.IMG VISION logo
TC_WHEEL.DAT Data to compute the display of the True colour wheel.
DSP Folder containing:

JPEGD.PRG

Brainstorm/Atari JPEG loading code

CONVOL.LOD

DSP filter module for Falcon
FILTERS Folder containing various filters (*.VCF files)
LANGUES Folder containing folders related to languages (1 folder per language)

FRANCAIS

French resource files

ENGLISH

English resource files

TEMP

Folder used to manage disk undo's

Each language folder must contain the following files:

 

1. 3 Installation

Your personalised copy of VISION is not protected against copy; to proceed to the installation, you just have to copy the VISION folder from the floppy disk or to unpack the .ZIP file. We would like to remind you that, according to copyright laws, only one backup copy is allowed. You are now ready to use VISION. We wish you a lot of pleasure and gorgeous images.

WARNING!

If you decide to move VISION, you will have either to modify the file VISION.INI by hand, or to delete it (it will then be recreated automatically). Otherwise you will obtain a message such as "VMSG.RSC not found ! Please check VISION.INI !".
